AESTHETICS
You’ve Slept Eight Hours. Your Eyes Still Look Exhausted.
Under-Eye Dark Circles Treatment
Eye creams. Cold compresses. Cucumber slices. Concealer that costs more than it should. Nothing has worked because dark circles aren’t a skincare problem they’re a medical one. The darkness under your eyes has a cause. And that cause has a treatment.
RECOGNISE THE SIGNS
Is This What You’re Experiencing?
If any of these feel familiar, you’re not alone and there is a solution.
01
Dark circles since childhood
You’ve had them as long as you remember suggesting a genetic or structural cause rather than lifestyle.
02
Bluish-purple discolouration
Visible veins and dark pooling beneath the thin periorbital skin vascular dark circles.
03
Brownish pigmentation
Melanin-driven darkening around the eyes common in Indian skin and worsened by sun exposure and rubbing.
04
Hollowing or tear trough
A shadow-like depression beneath the eye that creates the appearance of darkness it’s structural, not pigment.
05
Puffiness with darkness
Bags and darkness together often indicating fluid retention, allergies, or thyroid-related issues.
06
Concealer dependency
The first thing you apply every morning. Going bare-faced feels impossible. The circles define how people perceive your energy.
UNDERSTANDING THE ROOT CAUSE
Why Eye Cream Will Never Fix This And What Actually Will
Under-eye darkness has at least four distinct causes and most patients have more than one operating simultaneously. Unless the specific type is identified and addressed, no treatment will be effective. A pigmented circle requires different treatment than a vascular one. A structural hollow requires different treatment than allergic puffiness.
01
Hyperpigmentation (Melanin)
Excess melanin production around the eyes genetic in Indian skin, worsened by UV exposure, hormonal changes, and habitual eye-rubbing. This is the brown-toned circle.
02
Vascular Congestion
The skin under the eye is the thinnest on the body (0.5mm). Dilated blood vessels and poor circulation become visible as blue-purple darkness. Allergies, sleep deprivation, and nasal congestion worsen this.
03
Structural Volume Loss
As facial fat pads thin with age, the under-eye area develops a hollow (tear trough) that casts a shadow creating the appearance of darkness even when skin colour is normal.
04
Systemic Causes
Iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, chronic allergies, and dehydration all manifest as under-eye changes. These are correctable once identified but eye cream won’t identify them.
TREATMENT APPROACH
The Usual Approach vs The Vivaann Way
Most treatments manage the surface. Ours corrects the system.
TREATMENT APPROACH
Surface Treatment
- Recommend eye creams with Vitamin C or retinol surface-only approach
- Under-eye filler for hollows temporary, requires repeat injections, risk of complications
- No investigation into nutritional or systemic causes
- Result: concealer remains the primary solution, underlying cause untreated
WHAT VIVAANN DOES
Root-Cause Protocol
- Diagnostic classification pigmented, vascular, structural, or systemic. Treatment follows diagnosis
- PRP under-eye rejuvenation for collagen stimulation, skin thickening, and vascular improvement
- Constitutional homeopathy addressing nutritional deficiencies, allergies, and hormonal factors internally
- Result: darkness reduces at its source, skin quality under the eye improves, results sustain without fillers
YOUR JOURNEY
What Happens When You Visit
A clear, comfortable process from your first consultation to lasting results.
01
step
Under-Eye Diagnosis
The doctor examines your dark circles under clinical lighting and determines the type pigmented, vascular, structural, or combined. Medical history, nutritional status, allergy history, and sleep patterns are evaluated. Duration: 20 minutes.
02
step
Targeted Investigation
If systemic causes are suspected iron, ferritin, thyroid, Vitamin B12 blood work is recommended. Many patients discover a treatable deficiency they never knew they had.
03
step
Multi-Modal Treatment
Based on the diagnosis: PRP micro-injections for skin quality and collagen stimulation, constitutional homeopathy for systemic correction, targeted topical guidance for surface melanin. No fillers as first-line treatment.
04
step
Progressive Improvement
Under-eye skin is delicate and responds gradually. Visible lightening and texture improvement typically develops over 6-8 weeks. PRP series (3 sessions) produces cumulative results.
REAL PATIENTS, REAL RESULTS
What Our Patients Say
Dark circles since I was 18. Every cream, home remedy, and even filler is considered. Dr Anand found I had severe iron deficiency and allergic rhinitis, both contributing. Treated both. My under-eyes are lighter than they’ve been in 15 years.
— Ridhi A.
Had PRP for my under-eyes and the difference was visible within 3 weeks. The skin is thicker, less crepey, and the darkness has reduced by half. No filler needed.
— Trisha
COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Can dark circles be permanently removed?
The answer depends on the type. Pigmentation and vascular circles respond very well to treatment and can be significantly reduced. Structural hollows can be improved with collagen stimulation. Genetic predisposition means some maintenance may be needed long-term.
Q2: Will PRP under the eyes hurt?
Topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure. The needles are extremely fine. Most patients describe minimal discomfort far less than expected.
Q3: Why doesn't eye cream work for me?
Because your dark circles likely have a cause that exists below the skin poor circulation, structural volume loss, or a systemic deficiency. Eye cream can only address the surface.
Q4: How many PRP sessions are needed?
A series of 3 sessions, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. Each session builds on the previous one. Maintenance sessions every 6 months sustain the improvement.
Q5: Should I get under-eye filler?
Not as a first step. Fillers carry risks in the delicate periorbital area including Tyndall effect (bluish discolouration) and nodule formation. PRP and internal treatment are safer first-line options. Filler is considered only if structural hollowing persists after conservative treatment.
